- create and manage your hodgepodge account
- facilitate table invitations and RSVP flows between hosts and guests
- send you SMS messages including one-time verification codes, table reminders, and connection notifications
- show you your social graph (connections and mutuals) within the app

SMS communications
by providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from hodgepodge. these messages include:
- one-time verification codes when you sign in
- table invitations and RSVP confirmations
- same-day and 24-hour table reminders
- connection request notifications

how we share your information
we do not sell your personal information. we share information only in the following circumstances:
- with other members: your name, neighborhood, interests, and profile photo are visible to hosts and co-guests at tables you attend, in accordance with hodgepodge's trust-based social graph model.
- with service providers: we use Twilio for SMS delivery and Supabase for database and authentication services. these providers process your data only as needed to provide their services.
- when required by law: we may disclose information if required by applicable law or legal process.
data retention
we retain your account information for as long as your account is active. you can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. certain information may be retained as required by law.
security
we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure with row-level security controls. SMS verification is handled via Twilio's secure APIs. no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
children's privacy
hodgepodge is not intended for users under the age of 18. we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. if we become aware that a user under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
your rights
